Country Fires has been trading fireplaces and stoves from our shop in Peckham Bush, East Peckham since 1983, although there has been shop on this site since the mid 1800's. The shop was first a general store then a bakers, then back to a general store and latterly a sub post office. The building of which the shop is attached, has been on this site since Henry VIII's time, as are many of the properties in this hamlet of Peckham Bush. This area has a strong presence of fruit orchards and hop fields as well as lovely walks, along with a lively 15th century pub serving excellent beer and food.
