Suppliers and installers of wood and multi-fuel stoves in Kent

Country Fires supply and install a range of wood stoves and multi fuel stoves from our shop and showroom in Peckham Bush, East Peckham, Kent.

WHY CHOOSE A STOVE?

Stoves offer an efficient clean and safer alternative to an open fire. They offer the same comforting warm glow of an open fire but are more practical and can have many benefits. Stoves can be inset or freestanding. Stoves are very versatile, they come in many sizes, can be installed into an existing fireplace or you can turn them into a feature by having us build a new fireplace around it. We can also install a rigid flue system so you can enjoy the flicker of flames even if your house does not have a chimney! If a flue is not possible, but your home has gas, there are also flue-less options that are 100% efficient too.

CHIMNEYS AND FLUES

DO I NEED A FLUE LINER?
Most houses built before 1966 do not have a liner in their chimney. Bare bricks are more suited to open coal fires, which were common when the houses were built. Depending on the condition of the chimney you may require a flue liner.

The efficiency of a stove relies on maintaining an even flue temperature to give a consistent draw (draught) to keep it burning. The draw also prevents condensation and the build up of tar deposits on exposed flue bricks, particularly from wood burning which is sometimes seen as stains on the chimney breast.
